On October 18th, the mobilization and contract signing ceremony of Kola Photovoltaic Power Station, the world’s largest water-light-grazing complementary power station and Lianghekou Hydropower Station water-light-complementing Phase I project, was held in Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel.

The engineering department Yalong River company’s first self-built photovoltaic power station, the largest photovoltaic power station to be built in Sichuan Province, the world’s largest complementary water, light and animal husbandry power station, to reduce resource consumption, accelerate rural revitalization of ethnic areas, economic growth, to ensure national energy security is of great significance.

Located in Yajiang County, Garze Prefecture, Sichuan Province, the project is distributed on the western Sichuan Plateau between 4,000 meters and 4,600 meters above sea level, covering an area of about 16 square kilometers, equivalent to the size of 80 bird’s nests, with an installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts. A 500-kilovolt power transmission line will be connected to Lianghekou hydropower Station to realize water and light complementarity, raising the global scale of “water, light and animal husbandry complementarity” to one million kilowatts for the first time.

Huadong Institute (the lead) and Hydropower Bureau 7 formed a general contracting consortium for design and construction. After completion, the rated capacity of the second bid section is not less than 250MW (AC side), and the installed capacity is not less than 285.7MW (DC side). It also includes 220kV booster station, rural revitalization and watchtower project, etc. The construction period will be 9 months.
