1. Overview of 2205 duplex stainless steel:

2205 duplex stainless steel is made of 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy (austenitic ferritic) corroded stainless steel (2205 duplex steel). 2205 Duplex stainless steel is a nitrogenous duplex stainless steel that has high strength, good impact toughness, and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. 2205 duplex steel is especially suitable for -50F/+600F temperature range. Applications beyond this temperature range are also considered for this alloy.

2205 duplex stainless steel is the main feature of yield strength can reach 400-550MPa, is the ordinary Austenitic stainless steel 2 times, this feature allows the designer to design products to reduce weight, so can save material, this alloy than 316,317L change has a price advantage, reduce equipment manufacturing costs. In terms of corrosion resistance, especially up to the harsh environment (such as seawater, chloride content is high) conditions, the resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and corrosion fatigue performance of duplex stainless steel is significantly better than ordinary austenitic stainless steel, and can be comparable to high alloy austenitic stainless steel.
